Cook Fresh Club:
A Community-Focussed Food Initiative

Cook Fresh is a pilot project launched as part of our Food Hub programme, aiming to support local families in the Llanhilleth ward. Since its inception in November 2023, this initiative has been providing essential food resources and culinary skills to the community.

How it works

  • For a weekly fee of £3.00, Cook Fresh members receive a comprehensive meal pack and a step-by-step recipe  guide.

  • Each pack offers enough ingredients to prepare a main course and sides for a family of four.

  • The programme emphasises fresh, seasonal ingredients and supports local businesses.

Delicious and Nutritious

Members have enjoyed a variety of mouth watering dishes, including:

  • Cheese and potato pie with sugar snap peas

  • Ratatouille

  • Halloumi and vegetable kebabs with paprika wedges

As the seasons change, we're excited to introduce new, fresh recipes to keep meals interesting and flavourful.

Making a Difference

Thanks to generous funding, Cook Fresh members receive approximately £12.00 worth of food each week, making healthy, home-cooked meals more accessible and affordable for local families.
