Mission Statement: The Vibrant heart of the community, seeking to meet the changing needs of the people it serves, and reflect the vision of the miners who built it.  Llanhilleth Miners Institute, built by the miners and owners of Llanhilleth Colliery, was opened in 1906 and extensive refurbishment of the building was completed in late 2007. Following completion of the refurbishment, we were honoured that HRH The Prince of Wales performed the official reopening in October 2008.As the Institute progresses in meeting its Aims and Objectives, we realise that we need to develop the expertise and experience of our Board to meet the challenges ahead and would welcome representatives  of the Community to join us in this really exciting and worthwhile project, either as Board Members or Advisers to the Board. We are more than willing to meet with you to discuss the matter, either at the Institute or at your Headquarters, whichever is most convenient. They may also feel free to call in and speak with us informally at any time. Please refer to our website on www.llanhillethinstitute.co.uk if needed. We do hope that you will consider our request and look forward to hearing from you. In the meantime, please do not hesitate in calling me if you have any queries. Best regards  Lyn MaloneyCompany SecretaryMobile: 07800 764925
